We had a great trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We went during the hot, non-foreign-tourist season, though. That means there were a lot of local Mexican tourists, and the heat was unbearable! I mean, in the 90s and the humidity was stifling, with a heat index of over 100 (that means it felt at least 100 degrees farenheit, eek!)
Unfortunately, the heat meant that we wanted lots of liquids, and as you know you should avoid water in Mexico unless you live there. So of course I got some drink that had ice in it and drank it out of desperation, then got really sick for a few days :(. Gerry took care of me well, of course.
The rest of the time, though, we really enjoyed ourselves. We went to the market and haggled over some interesting items, including a silver bracelet with purple accents which Gerry bought for me.
At a nice restaurant near the hotel, we had a rich meal, a platter of seafood selections including lobster and some other exotic stuff. They kept giving Gerry and I more tequila shots, but he had to drink mine since I don't like it.

Downtown area of PV- quaint-looking with lots of little shops.
Some really weird sculptures are along the waterfront- but we liked em.
More statues from the waterfront, and a view of the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe from the same area.
Here are pictures we took at the oceanfront:
Told you the sculptures were weird! These chairs have feet and heads... There was also a metal seat with ears and feet which we did not care to try out.
This statue of a man riding a seahorse looks surreal against the backdrop of the ocean and sky.
Sights from the cruise we took:
This pretty pink sky is similar to the sunset we saw from the boat, of which I couldn't get a picture.
Beach view outside the Sheraton hotel where we stayed:
View out our hotel window.
