Almost
by Kerri K
The eyes are glass domes, clear marbles
set in an almost human face
A delicate bubble over
gleaming amber disc
A little slit allows the view
into the deep blackness of a wild, serene mind
But never quite illuminates her fascination
with a scrap of crumpled white paper.

Love is
by Kerri K
Love
Love is a candle in the window
On a cold dark winter's night
Love is a fire rekindled
In the fireplace burning bright
Love
Love is a thing I've never known
Though I've heard of it enough
"Someday you'll find the one for you."
I only wish I was so tough
Love
Love songs make me cry for I
I've never felt its warmth and burn
Sometimes I hope I'll never feel it
Lost love hurts too much to learn
Love
Love is a prince so pure of heart
On a steed of shining white
Love is a silver moon above
Love is darkness: Love is light
