Latest news and important updates
Dear Readers and Authors:
I hope you are all doing well. This issue brings with it sad news. One of my very favorite author/illustrators, Edward Gorey, passed away this Saturday, April 15. If you'd like to know more, read the article further down the page and visit the page of gorey links. Gorey was 75 and his fans were hoping he would live forever! We will miss him. If you haven't read anything of his, especially if you are a fan of horror, dark poetry and/or gothic writings, he comes highly recommended.
You may have noticed that the newsletter is now distributed through Egroups. They merged with onelist.com and I examined their privacy policy and other policies to ensure the service is comparable, respects your privacy and is anti-spam, as the onelist service was. There are a few minor changes in how the newsletter site looks, and most seem to be enhancements, such as easier archive searching. So we're pleased with how the new service is working out. Please let me know if you have any concerns about the new egroups newsletter host.
Looking for Newsletter writers/articles! If you would like to write for the Siriusly newsletter or contribute an article, contact me at sirius@sirius-books.com.
Promotion: We listed in free for all links pages and search engines. We have listed classified ads (call for submissions) on several online writer's web sites. I added a page about promoting Sirius Publications here, and it will be constantly updated. Readers and writers can both help. Please keep telling everyone about our site! You can use the new recommend-it service on the main page if you like (you get a free entry for an Amazon.com gift certificate.)
More reviews (two Diana Wynne Jones books and a Dean Koontz book) have been added to Sirius Recommends at http://www.sirius-books.com/recommend.html.
As always, we'd love to hear from you as to ways to improve the site. Thanks again for your support of Sirius Publications (tm). Look below for more Sirius info and news.
Happy Reading!

Transformations by Nora Mulligan. has sold 8 copies total as of today. For a new electronic novel, this is great! The book is available in several formats and will be available as a trade paperback soon. Thanks to the author's efforts, the book will be reviewed in several publications in the near future.
The Memoirs of Josephine Fish by Patricia Fish is now available as a printout and the paperback version will be available soon as well. Both books are having ISBN numbers assigned to them and will be listed in online and print catalogs including Books in Print, Amazon.com and BN.com. Congratulations to both our authors!
We will miss him. You will probably find out more about Gorey and his works from the links below and from the Gorey Links page than I could explain in a few words. He definitely still has a huge amount of fans- and these are zealous fans!- as evidenced by all the links I found about him. I was so excited at Christmas time to find that he had new books published in 1999. He was still going strong even at 75 (shouldn't we all be?) At least, his mind was- maybe not his heart (he is said to have died of a heart attack.)

G is for Gorey whose stories will last." (From http://www.fearofdolls.com/gorey.html)
